Simply Wood is the trading name of Abloom Limited, registered in England and Wales since June 2005 and based at The Former Buffer Depot on Main Street in Wheldrake, just outside York. Wood is a natural material. It varies in grain and colour, it moves with the seasons, and it silvers with age unless you treat it. We would rather tell you that up front than have it come as a surprise.

Featured planter
A six-sided raised bed in solid pressure-treated softwood, 60 cm across and 30 cm tall, holding roughly 55 litres of compost. Corners are drawn together with countersunk stainless steel screws and backed by an internal batten, so the frame stays square when the soil is soaked.
It arrives fully assembled with a permeable liner already fitted — fill it and plant it the same afternoon.

UK delivery is £4.99, free for orders of £50 or more. Delivery is 3–5 business days from dispatch. Isle of Man and Channel Islands excluded. Large items are delivered kerbside. Products available to buy online are stock items and are delivered within 3–5 business days from dispatch. Custom-size and bespoke products are supplied separately by quotation and are not available for direct online purchase.
What if I change my mind?
You have 14 days from delivery to tell us, and a further 14 days to send the goods back. We refund within 14 days of receiving them, including the standard outbound delivery charge. Return carriage for a change of mind is at your cost — contact us first and we can quote for collection on larger items.
Does the timber need treating?
Not for protection: it is vacuum pressure treated for above-ground outdoor use. Left alone it weathers to a soft silver-grey over a season or two. A coat of exterior wood oil or stain every two to three years holds the original honey tone.
My planter has small cracks in it. Is that a fault?
Almost always not. Timber shrinks and expands as humidity changes, and fine surface checking, small knots and resin bleed are normal characteristics of natural wood. Send us a photograph if you are unsure and we will tell you honestly.
Can I get a size you do not list?
Yes. We build to size. Send us the measurements and we will quote, including a realistic lead time, before you commit to anything.

14-Day Returns
You have 14 days from delivery to tell us you have changed your mind, and a further 14 days to send the goods back. Items should be unused and re-saleable. Return postage is paid by you for a change of mind, and by us if anything arrives damaged, faulty or not as described. Made-to-measure items are exempt.
